Around the Bend I - acrylic on canvas board (Original Artwork)

Around The Bend I was influenced by an artwork I saw in a magazine consisting of a set of curved figures in different colours on a white background. 

I felt it would work well on a more complex background and I’d recently been experimenting with flicking paint onto the canvas using an old toothbrush which gave a matt stone-like effect, so I combined these.

The arcs are painted in bold flat colours - cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue, cadmium red, bright green, yellow ochre and titanium white.

My final change to the original was to make the arcs a glossy finish to create a juxtaposition of the very random, matt effect, background to very precise glossy foreground features.

The piece is supplied unframed, but fits standard 30 x 40cm frames so you can choose something to suit your own decor, the board itself is around 4mm thick.

This is an original artwork measuring 30 x 40cm painted in professional grade acrylic on canvas board, and has a label on the reverse bearing the details of the artwork and confirming that it is a genuine original artwork.

The artwork will be shipped by a major carrier (which one depends on delivery location) and tracking details will be provided. The painting will be cellophane wrapped, sandwiched between foamboard sheets, bubble-wrapped and enclosed in a cardboard outer box - this is best practice as recommended by Saatchi Art and will ensure that the artwork arrives with you exactly as it left me.
