'Aboriginal Hands' art print
Aboriginal Hands was influenced by some study I was doing of art in different cultures during 2017. I've always liked the aboriginal technique of using rows of dots within their artwork and thought I'd give it a go.
I first used several thin washes to create a rock-like background and then used my own hands as a template, before filling these in with flat areas of bold colours and outlining with dots in contrasting shades. Symbols were then applied to each hand using the same technique.
The original artwork is acrylic on canvas board and was created in 2017. These art prints are printed on Giclée Hahnemühle German Etching paper by Printspace Studios here in the UK. Printspace are a reputable fine art printer with great reviews on Google, Facebook and Trustpilot.
