The Canopy Above - giclee fine art print

I love being out in the forest and listening to the rustle of the wind blowing through the trees. 'The Canopy Above' was created after one of my visits to the local forest where I took a break and laid on the floor in a clearing looking up at the sky through the branches. Attempting to create a painted impression of my memories of that moment of peace and tranquility led to this artwork.

The original piece was created using watercolour on paper.

My Prints

These high quality art prints are made using 310gsm Hahnemüle German Etching paper. This heavyweight paper has a slightly warm base tone and a strong mottled texture. It creates a print with strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast due to the texture of the paper enabling it to hold more ink and capture the light. With its weight and strong texture this paper gives an artwork a handmade crafted feel. Hahnemüle German Etching is a robust Giclée paper, meaning it doesn’t tend to fray as much at the edges.

A Giclée print is a high quality archival inkjet print, using the latest best-in-class Epson Sure Color P9000 printers, capable of producing print resolutions up to 1440 by 2880 DPI and uses fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. When applied to high quality archival substrates, like, for example, the Hahnemühle cotton-based, acid free Rag papers we use this results in an unbeatable archival lifespan of up to 200 years.

Framing

My frames are made from FSC certified sustainably sourced solid real wood, with glued and pinned corners. They are handmade and hand finished to ensure exceptional quality which really complements the high quality of print they contain.

My frames use premium quality museum grade anti-reflective art glass on all frames except for A1 size which use high quality acrylic.

Delivery

All orders are sent via DHL Express to ensure that your artwork arrives quickly and in perfect condition. Tracking information will be provided as soon as possible after your order is despatched so that you can monitor progress. All prints are despatched within 2 working days of order.

You can expect delivery as follows:
